Bob is one of many wonderful people I have "stolen" from my brother over the years. Actually, we share Bob quite well.

This picture was taken moments before the New Year, 1997 -- in the seediest hotel I have ever stepped foot in (NorthEast DC), with the possible exception of a school trip to Montreal and another school trip to Stratford. It was one of the best New Year's Eves I had spent up until that point, and certainly the best ever outside of New York City.

Bob wrote this piece on September 11, 2002, shortly after he moved from Pittsburgh to Washington DC, not that far, from this hotel. . .

here's what i did on sept 10th, my friend melanie, who is zones ex-gf or mabe gf, i'm not sure if they even know what their status is, was having a welcome home party at club elite, she had been living in vegas for 7 months and had her going away party there also, so wayne and i went, sacraficing the first mnf {monday night footbal} game of the year, we watched some of it on the tv there and lost interest after we lost our fantasy game, we went to eat n park after, that was the first time id been there in months, i dont even remember what we talked about, i had class at 12:35 on tuesday and also at 6 at moon campus, so I'd get up around 10, i heard the phone ringing early and just thought it was a telemarketer, but it kept ringing and eventually stopped, i always go online when i wake up to check e-mail and sports stuff with no contacts in, i noticed something on the aol frontpage about the wtc but didnt pay much attention cuz i cant really see much without my contacts, when i got off line my mom called to tell me what happened, neither of us were aware of the severity of the situation until we watched for awhile, too many emotions to explain, classes were canceled and i sat in front of the tv, sick about everything but i couldnt pull myself away, thats my story, when are you coming to dc? call me and let me know
